La Peanède
La Peanède is a fictional brand I created for the Packaging module, taught by Franziska Böttcher, during my Online Master in Graphic Design at LABASAD. The challenge was to build a consumer brand from the ground up—its name, story, mission, target audience, positioning, and personality—and then design its packaging.
As a peanut butter addict, the product idea came naturally. But what really sealed it was learning that the largest peanut farm in France, La Ferme Darrigade, is just 50 kilometers from where I live. From that moment, I knew exactly what I wanted to create: a brand of 100% natural, organic peanut butter made without added oils or sugars, sourced directly from local peanuts.
La Peanède was imagined as a brand with a mission: to offer a healthy, local product while ensuring fair compensation for farmers. I wanted its personality to feel warm, friendly, honest, young, and just a little playful. Once everything was mapped out, I turned to the packaging design. My goal was to shine a light on the producer and educate consumers about where their peanuts come from. The design blends modern typography with hand-drawn illustrations and a handwritten logo for an approachable, artisanal feel.
The color palette draws from nature—yellow for the sun, green for the pine forests of Les Landes, and pink to represent the people behind it all.
